The story behind the name
To mend something is to repair it and restore it — to take what is worn, damaged or tired and make it whole again. That is the entire job description. Whether it is a unit that has been through four tenants or a family home that has not been painted in fifteen years, the work is the same: bring it back better than we found it.
The name is also personal. M and N come from Michael Estiven Núñez Rubiano. D and E come from Daniel Escobar. Put the founders' initials together and you get MEND — which is why the company signs its name to every project. There is no layer between you and the people responsible for the result.
Michael and Daniel started Mend Renovations three years ago and still run it the same way: they walk the property, they price the work, and they are on site while it gets done. When a property manager calls about a unit that has to be ready Friday, they are talking to the person who decides whether that happens.
